Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan discussed bilateral cooperation during a meeting on the fringes of the Commonwealth summit today.

The Pakistani Prime Minister emphasized the need for reactivation of Joint Commission between the two countries.
He thanked Dr Muscat for the offer of freeport facilities to Pakistan.

Dr Muscat welcomed the peaceful and democratic transition of the civilian government in Pakistan

Both the prime ministers expressed satisfaction over the cooperation the two countries had at the international forums and the imperatives of regular high level consultations.

Dr Muscat invited Prime Minister Sharif to visit Malta.
