Referring Fr John Caruana's letter St Paul In Malta (January 31), I would like to add some points.
First of all, besides the two parish churches of Valletta and Munxar, there is also a chapel dedicated to the shipwreck or advent of St Paul in Malta. This chapel is in Attard and was restored lately. In the war the chapel was used as a refugees centre.
At the church of San Paolo Maggiore in Bologna, belonging to the Order of the Barnabites Friars, there is an altar specially dedicated to the arrival of St Paul in Malta.
At the city of Caltanissetta, Sicily, inside the cathedral hangs a painting by Belgian painter William Borremans.
As St John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta is known for Preti's works, so Caltanissetta is known for works by Borremans.
One of his paintings shows the miracle of St Paul in Malta when he was bitten by a viper and survived.
