The Planning Authority has removed an illegally-built stone and concrete diving platform which has over the years led to a number of accidents in St Thomas Bay, Marsascala.

The three-metre high structure was built prior to 2012 and was a popular spot with swimmers who tested their diving skills but risked injuring themselves against the submerged rocks.
