I suffer from severe respiratory problems and consequently need to keep an oxygen cylinder at home. I have to replace the cylinder every week or so as I use it frequently. Unfortunately, I do not drive and so have to rely on other people.

Before the migration to Mater Dei Hospital one could obtain a replacement cylinder from St Luke's Hospital, which was convenient, considering that I live in a central location.

Ever since Mater Dei Hospital started operating, oxygen cylinders can only be collected from the Multigas plant in Kirkop during specified hours - except that in case of emergencies after Multigas's opening hours, one can obtain a replacement from Mater Dei.

Was it such an impossible task for the planners of Mater Dei to integrate some sort of depot catering for the replacement of empty oxygen cylinders?

If it was, might one consider using the local health centres, or at least some of them, as depots for the replacement of empty cylinders? After all, wasn't the main aim of building a state-of-the-art hospital that citizens start receiving a better service than before?
