Over 550 people got a proper Christmas meal at the Archbishop’s Curia on Tuesday, thanks to a Caritas initiative.

The meal is offered to those who are homeless or who would otherwise not be able to afford the celebration.

The event was visited by the country’s leaders, including President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President Emeritus George Abela, Apolostolic Nuncio Alessandro D'Errico, Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea Curmi and Opposition leader Adrian Delia.

Apart from volunteers and benefactors, Caritas Malta thanked the Alfred Mizzi Foundation for its help, band X-Tend which entertained the guests, and the Red Cross who were present to offer assistance if needed.
