Business across borders will be the theme of the Malta Association of Women in Business (MAWB)’s annual conference at the Radisson Blu, St Julian’s on Wednesday.

The conference is focused on international and national business tips and best practices with no fewer than six speakers from the US, the Netherlands, Canada and Malta.

Mary Schnack from the US is recognised as a prominent speaker and trainer worldwide. Her topics are thought-provoking and offer solid, useful information with real world perspective drawn from her first-hand experiences.

Jolanda Holwerda comes from the Netherlands, and as founding editor and manager of Lof Media has titled her contribution ‘Lof as an agent of social change’.

Jacky Bakeman, an internationally recognised speaker, trainer and personal development specialist, is president of One Spirit Inc. She comes from Canada but has lived in 14 cities over three continents. She will give an insight on her contributions in transforming good managers into exceptional leaders.

Leonnie Baladcchino is a lecturer at the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking at the ­University of Malta. Her address will focus on factors in entrepreneural success.

MAWB president Doris Sammut, an entrepreneur for over 30 years and a pioneer in innovative thinking, will speak about entrepreneurship and rising above start-up obstacles.

The conference will be followed by two workshops led by the international speakers to ensure that a further in-depth discussion with practical examples ensues.

It is open to all entrepreneurs, from start-ups to established companies and anyone interested in entrepreneurship.
