Last Monday (November 6) was the sixth day without our Go landline phone. After trying several times to get through to 8007 2121 to report the fault, I was informed there is a general issue around my area in Sliema and on which Go engineers are working.

I sent an e-mail to Go and their curt reply was that they are aware about the fault and are working on it but did not know when it will return to normal.

As a senior citizen, I feel I am at their mercy, passing through a hell of a time without any family contact.

Furthermore, I have not heard about or seen any report on daily papers about this fault.

I ask the minister concerned to take heed of our concern and to rectify this hardship and inconvenience to senior citizens.
