Uzbekistan's Ruslan Chagaev retained his WBA heavyweight title by beating Matt Skelton, of Britain, on points in Germany last weekend. Chagaev, in the first defence of the title he won last April by defeating giant Russian Nikolai Valuev, was declared the winner by all three judges, whose scorecards read 117-110, 117-111 and 117-111.
Chagaev remains unbeaten as a professional with 24 wins, of which 17 were by knockout.

India is certain of moving up to second spot in the test championship table following their victory over top-ranked Australia in Perth on Saturday.
An ICC statement yesterday said India would move ahead of second-placed Sri Lanka regardless of the outcome of the final test in Adelaide this week.
The last time Australia lost a test at home was against India at Adelaide in December 2003.

England lock Simon Shaw could miss the opening Six Nations clash against Wales next month after injuring his ankle in Wasps' defeat by Munster on Saturday.
England face Wales at Twickenham on February 2.
Holders Wasps were beaten 19-3 by Munster, meaning they failed to reach the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup.
