World renowned voice and acting coach Patsy Rodenburg will be in Malta to conduct a series of workshops on voice and will give an open master class on Monday.

Ms Rodenburg will work with a number of actors on text and vocal techniques in the presence of an audience. In particular, she will work on Shakespearean text to show how the performer’s body, breath and voice can be stretched and empowered. Ms Rodenburg is director of voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and until recently at the Royal National Theatre.

She is recognised as one of the world’s leading voice and acting coaches and has worked regularly with leading actors of the British theatre, including Judi Dench, Daniel Day-Lewis, Simon Russell Beale, Ralph Fiennes and also with many film and TV actors such as Nicole Kidman, Orlando Bloom, Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor, Keira Knightly and Natalie Portman.
