I love the Times of Malta. It always gives us some good news!
The open-air markets (monti) will now have a ‘board’ to take care of their needs. A board has to have members and, of course, a chairman.
They also have in mind the setting up of an ‘open market compliance promotion unit’ (whatever that means). This, I suppose, will necessitate the employment of a CEO. If you ask me, I think this ‘unit’ is already set up, with the CEO already informed of what his salary is going to be. You know, the usual thing. And, in the end, there will be a ‘consultant’ to consult.
By now, everyone knows the drill. All that is now required is for all this to appear in The Malta Government Gazette, with names and all.
I suppose that Tony Zarb, in his efficient and energetic manner, would be ideal as a consultant to Chris Cardona in this very difficult matter of open market (monti) administration. Every euro will be well spent.
Thank God for the surplus.
PS: Tell us who you have in mind for the chairmanship of this board.
