Parts of Mellieħa Bay, which in recent days were affected by a sewage outflow, were yesterday declared fit for swimming by the Environmental Health Directorate.

The all-clear was given following tests on water samples from the area near Triq Dawret it-Tunnara opposite Triq it-Trill.

The directorate reminded the public that bathing at the dog-friendly beach in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq was still not recommended due to sewage overflow.
