An open day will be held at Noah's Ark dog sanctuary in Ċirkewwa tomorrow. Opened about five years ago, the centre hosts more than 100 stray dogs. It is run by volunteers who make sure to keep the dogs in a clean environment and take them out for a walk in the surrounding countryside four times a week. Currently they are in urgent need of blankets, sheets, towels, face flannels, plastic beds, leads, collars, food and dog toys, possibly including a few old sandals or shoes for the dogs to play with. Any such contribution will be welcome. The sanctuary will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
