At least one person has been killed in a shooting at an air force base in Texas.

Bexar County sheriff's spokesman James Keith said officers had responded to reports of an active shooter at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, which is the home of US Air Force basic training.

Mr Keith confirmed that one person had died in the shooting and added: "We could have more."
