Cars parking at the Floriana Park and Ride facility seem to think that they can park wherever they please, even in spots reserved for the disabled. Last week, a car with no disabled badge in sight took up two such parking spots. This should not be allowed.

Utter disappointment

Those visiting Comino recently were saddened to see a considerable amount of litter laying around. It was quite apparent that most of the litter was produced by those buying food from the two fast food vans parked adjacent to the landing areas – neither of which providing any bins. The public convenience on the island was also in a filthy state. Authorities please take note.

Tied up

A billboard at the Mġarr bypass was removed recently and whoever removed this left a complete mess on the pavement. Cable ties used to tie the canvas used on the billboard were strewn all over the pavement. Who is responsible for this? Action should be taken.

Uncovered load

It seems that for some, rules and laws in place are only there to be broken. Last week, a truck chock-full of rubble was seen manoeuvring through Saturday morning traffic at Qormi. The truck was completely uncovered, with dust and other debris flying everywhere. More monitoring is needed to ensure this stops.

Incomplete job

A few weeks ago, a piece in this column commended the safety precautions taken in Pembroke as road works were carried out close to the Park and Ride facility there. However, it seems as though the approach taken when carrying out the works ended there. Weeks after workers finished the job, the roads seem to have been hastily patched, with no fresh tarmac laid. Such a shame, when it seemed as though things would be different.
