A skip set up in Paceville took up a parking bay assigned for the disabled. Such spaces are already lacking and things are made worse by taking up spots in such a way. Where are the authorities responsible for ensuring such practices do not go unnoticed?

Down the drain

Balzan residents are complaining about a drain fixture at Triq Santu Rokku which has been fixed to the outside of the house, exterior to the building’s footprint and on to a public road. The drain system is creating an obstruction on the road and is a safety hazard and an eyesore.

Authorities, please take note.

Bad planning

Drivers have been complaining that lanes in Msida were not designed in the most efficient manner and as a result, congestion has become the order of the day.

The outermost lane is only to be used by those heading into Valletta and as a result, a line of cars going towards Gżira always ensues. So many cars line up to go in that direction that when the lights turn green, the last cars to pass get caught up with the vehicles coming down the Regional Road. Wouldn’t it make more sense to allow more cars to go through the outer lane?

Shabby facade

A wall on the side of the De Valette Square still bears remnants of older buildings, making the area seem shabby. The square is very popular with tourists and locals alike, and yet the wall remains exposed. Wouldn’t a cleaner facade be more fitting?
