What appears to be some sort of effluent emanating from a cemented part of Għadira Bay is fouling the area. Can the competent authorities kindly check into this and determine what can be done about it?
Shelter, please
The bus stop Qroqq 3 in Msida is in dire need of a shelter to protect waiting commuters from rain, wind and sun. This stop is often used by university students. As winter is fast approaching, urgent action is a must.
Danger area
The playing field at Ta’ Xbiex is calling out for an upgrade. The equipment there is very dangerous, especially with children running about and playing. If things remain unchanged it is very likely that somebody will get hurt.
Parking issue
Residents in Kappara are complaining about a boat parked in Tellerit Street for the second year running. It seems the owner does not live in the area. The local council has been informed but residents say nothing has been done and the vessel remains there.
Mosquito infested
The fountain at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta is not functioning and, as a result, the water is stagnant and infested with mosquitoes. It’s a shame seeing a place that is so popular among tourists and locals alike not properly maintained. It has truly become an eyesore and an inconvenience, too. It should be seen to immediately.
On course
Well done to all those who have ensured that work on the replica of the Fleur-de-Lys arch continues. It was feared that some hitch might have stalled the project again. One hopes it will be completed soonest.
