Broken tiles

Paving at the old church in Birkirkara needs urgent attention. There are several broken tiles making it difficult for one to walk let alone handling a wheelchair or a pram. Whoever is tasked with carrying out the necessary repairs should waste no more time.

No respect

It seems that some taxi drivers think they are above the law and can park their vehicles wherever they please. This was the case recently in Ħamrun where a taxi driver not only parked his vehicle in a restricted box but did so in such a way that a second parking bay was also blocked. To make matters worse, the wheels on the left-hand side of the car were also blocking the pavement. Talk about lack of respect.

Ticket holders

Private clinics/pharmacies use the ticket system for those waiting for a service. Having an electronic board displaying who is next, much like those at supermarkets, would certainly help. More importantly, the operators should ensure that those who leave the premises would then have to stand at the back of the queue on their return.

Too small

Many households have already realised that the organic waste container and bags are too small, bearing in mind today’s consumption patterns. One wonders whether any studies were conducted in advance and, if so, what were the results. Perhaps the Environment Ministry and/or Wasteserv can enlighten us.

English, please!

Anthony Serracino Inglott preens himself with his Medicines Agency and boasts of what it can do and is doing. He should take some time off to see why is it that so many medicine importers are being allowed to put on the market medicines and medicinal products that are not accompanied by instructions to users worded in, as a minimum, the English language.

Repairs needed

The vending machines at Karin Grech Hospital have been out of order for weeks. When readers of this column reported the matter to the operating company, they were told that a technician would tend to them. However, the issue persists.
