The 2008 Olympic Day Run, held annually to mark the anniversary of the Olympic Movement worldwide, is being organised by the Maltese Olympic Committee, in conjunction with McDonald's and Athletics Malta, on Sunday.

The race in Buġibba, starting from near McDonald's outlet on Islet Promenade, gets underway at 8 a.m. Participation is free of charge.

Official Olympic Day Run T-shirts and caps will be given to all participants including an official IOC certificate signed by the IOC president Jacques Rogge.

Three running distances will be covered - 2.5K, 5K and 10K. Participants can even cycle the 10-kilometre distance.
