The main match had to be Fina vs okmalta.com on week six of the MSV Life National League at the SuperBowl, with top team and defending champions Fina pulling off an excellent 8-0 victory to further dent their opponents’ title challenge, albeit at this rather early stage of the season.

Ramis stayed within four points of the leaders thanks to their own full-point victory over Supreme, and there was another 8-0 win as XS Vitel thrashed Strike Me.

Elsewhere, there was a majority 5-3 win for Royal Shock over The Clan, while the match between Turu’s Knights and Blitzkrieg ended in a four-all draw.

Fina have dropped just four points from a possible 48 in their latest title defence, winning all six matches including last week’s clash with arch-rivals okmalta.com.

Fina opened with a 784-742 game one victory and then went four up thanks to a big 839-795 game two win.

Game three fell 822-779 to Fina to complete the whitewash against okmalta.com who were surely frustrated at suffering such a comprehensive defeat in spite of a good team performance.

Ramis, challenging for the top spot, played the second best series of the week (2,394) to bag all eight points against Supreme.

Supreme posed little threat throughout the three-game series, which progressed788-707, 781-747 and 825-669, all in favour of second-placed Ramis, as Supreme dropped to ninth place in the standings after their heavy loss.
