Week 13 of the MSV Life National League featured a table-top clash between front-runners okmalta.com and Ramis who were second heading into this match.

The leaders doled out a crushing 8-0 defeat to their challengers, forcing them down into third place as Fina moved into second, thanks to a similar 8-0 win over fourth-placed Rogantino’s.

At the other end of the spectrum, MIA’s survival woes continued as they remain stuck in the drop zone after a 0-8 hammering at the hands of The Clan, while bottom side Gladiators lost out 2-6 to HEPO2 Acorn.

Turu’s Knights got the better of Spare Me Plz in the last match of the night, which ended 6-2.

It was all eyes on the title clash between okmalta.com and Ramis, not least of all those of defending champions Fina.

okmalta.com opened with a blistering pace, easily winning game one 829-754 before doubling their advantage with a closer 779-759 game two win.

Ramis were frustrated and could not produce anything to challenge their in-form opponents, who won the third of the series 826-723 for an easy full-point victory.

Fina opened what would be the team series of the week (2,437) with a massive 851-712 win and then dropped to a low 724 in game two, in which Rogantino’s could only respond with a poor 708 to go 4-0 down.

Fina were back on high ground in game three rolling the team game of the night to make sure of all eight points (862-800).
