A new Middlesea League is about to get under way, with June signalling the end of the previous season.

While Ramis had clinched the Division One title with ample time to spare, the fight was for second place, and that went to okmalta.com over Fina who had to settle for third.

Bottom side Calamatta Cuschieri Co. and ninth-placed Salitos have been relegated to Division Two.

The Division Two winners are Gladiators. They made sure of top spot with a solid 8-0 win over Atlas Insurance.

This will be Gladiators' debut in the top flight while there will be a return to Division One for second-placed The Clan who also secured promotion with an 8-0 victory over Blitzkrieg.

The Division Two drop zone was occupied by XS in 11th, with Vintage in 10th and Highlanders ninth, relegated due to their lower season pinfall compared to Atlas Insurance who finished level on points, but survived the drop.

Moving up to Division Two are MIA who secured first place with a 6-2 win over One 4 All, while Striking Chicks lost 7-1 against BOV but had done enough to earn the second promotion spot ahead of third-placed Kiwis.

This month sees the start of a new league at the SuperBowl as Ramis embark on a five-month long campaign to retain their newly-gained league crown. The likes of okmalta.com, Fina and Globalair will be doing everything in their power to take it away from them.

Division One (final standings): Ramis 116; okmalta.com 92; Fina 88; Globalair 80; Royal Shock 70; HSBC 69; Turu's Knights 65; PharmaVet 64; Salitos 42; Calamatta Cuschieri Co 34.
