The 13th edition of the Ohloq Tbissima marathon kicked off at noon and will carry on uninterrupted until Sunday at midnight. The marathon was opened by President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca in the presence of Archbishop Charles Scicluna.

A group of about 140 dancers from Keith Dance Studio opened the marathon with a dance to accompany a medley of music from Malta, Peru, Pakistan and the Philippines.

President Coleiro Preca said it was a human privilege when people worked together to address the needs of the under-privilaged, bringing different countries come together.  Archbishop Scicluna said MSSP priests worked with the bishops in the countries they are serving and this showed the beauty of the Church in different countries. 

Various features outlining the invaluable work being carried out in these missions are being shown from time to time.
