As part of its continued support for residents who may not have a stable or supporting structure to go to when it is time for them to return to society, the Oasi Foundation has opened a halfway house.

This temporary residence will provide further training and skills to ensure a smoother reintegration into the family, work place and the social community.

Since this project needs a lot of financial backing, Rotary Club Gozo, through one of its very active members, Ray Satariano, of Roger Satariano and Son Ltd, has donated a 220-litre stainless steel solar water heating system to be installed in the house in Victoria.

Fr Emmanuel Cordina, director general of the foundation, praised the initiative taken by the Rotary Club, especially Mr Satariano, and urged other organisations to come forward and give their full support in the fight against drug and alcohol addiction.
