Notte Bianca activities on October 3 will gain new space and dimension this year as they spread to the Valletta Waterfront.

"The Valletta Waterfront, with its majestic backdrop of Grand Harbour and architectural history, is an integral part of the capital city's history and charm; it is logical that the destination forms part of Notte Bianca's programme of activities," said Joshua Giordimaina, marketing executive (Landside) of VISET Malta plc, operators of the Valletta Waterfront.

Different activities will be happening at the Valletta Waterfront during the evening, which is also being prepared to be the after-hours destination. "People can visit and enjoy Valletta and its jewels and then make their way to the Waterfront to continue their evening until the early hours of the next morning. For this purpose, bars, restaurants and shops will have extended operating hours until late," Mr Giordimaina said.

Transport will be available for people to commute between the Valletta Waterfront and the city centre easily and efficiently. There will be a shuttle service on a trackless train between the Waterfront and Victoria Gate, from 6.30 p.m. till 3 a.m. This service is free of charge.

Water taxis will also operate between Valletta Waterfront laguna and Vittoriosa Waterfront from 6.30 p.m. till 3 a.m. Dgħajjes (Maltese traditional boats) will operate the same route on the same schedule.

The Valletta Waterfront quays will be available for parking after 7 p.m.
