It is a well-known fact that a lot of doctors recommend calcium and magnesium effervescent tablets mostly to the elderly to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Up till recently, these tablets were only found at pharmacies with prices in the region of €6 for a tube of 20 tablets.
The supermarket chain Lidl started stocking this item, which "was" being sold for €1.49. This was a godsend as we purchase this product for a family member on a meagre pension. After some months happily purchasing this product from Lidl, we were dismayed when this item was taken off the shelves abruptly. When we enquired about this we were told that the supermarket had been ordered to stop stocking this item.
Is this not the competition the authorities have always claimed it has striven for?
