I am a great follower of Candidus and on most occasions he (or is it a she?) makes excellent recommendations. But I must take Candidus up this time on the item Planted (December 8) about the concrete planters outside the Jesuits church in Valletta.
It appears that it has been broken for some time. Candidus says that the trough should be replaced and removed at once. I mean, really, why replace it and then remove it at once? I am sure what the writer meant was that the broken planter should be removed and replaced at once.
Incidentally, in another item Candidus talks about tyre threads instead of tyre treads, probably a misprint.
Sorry to be such an old fuss pot!
