Maltese alternative rock band No Snow/No Alps will be releasing its debut album Romantik Politik on April 16.

The album will be launched during a live gig at the Orpheum Theatre in Gżira. The event will also feature special guests Red Electrick, Stolen Creep and DJ sets by Davide Zane.

Work on Romantik Politik started two years ago, boosted by the overwhelming reception that the band’s Just Rock EP received when it was released in 2007.

Vocalist and guitarist Nick Morales said, “We worked really hard during the past two years and poured our heart into these songs. The end result is a very eclectic album that defines who we are as a band.”

The new album was recorded with producer David Vella (of Rammstein and Phillip Boa and the Voodoo Club fame) at Temple Studios, and features 14 new tracks, all written by the band, among them Rockets, Laika’s Revenge and the band’s upcoming single Far into the Night.

The album also includes the songs Cherry Tree, Elizabeth, I and Dorothy’s Machines, which No Snow/No Alps fans will recognise from the band’s recent live gigs.

No Snow/No Alps are Nick Morales (vocals, guitar), Sarah Falzon (vocals, keyboards), Daniel Cassar (bass) and Darko Strnisa (drums).
