The Malta Resources Authority says no evidence was found during inspections that Easygas was filling gas cylinders illegally. The claim had been made by Liquigas, which presented “clear video evidence” of such illegalities.

The police have still been requested to investigate the footage presented by Liquigas on December 18, an MRA spokesman said. Liquigas had filed a judicial protest against Easygas and then sued for damages.

Liquigas had claimed that Easygas employees were filmed “abusively filling gas cylinders” in a yard in Luqa without the necessary licence.

But Easygas denied the claim.
