The Landrover Malta Marathon was held today, with the top winners being the same as last year.

Mohammed Hadjj of Morocco completed the 42km marathon first with a time of 2,19.04 achieved in windy conditions. He was followed by compatriot Abel Kerim Kabbouri in 2,25.38 and Maltese Martin Jonathan Balzan in 2,32.27

Three Maltese headed the women's race -  Carmen Hili returned after a three year absense to win after three hours, three minutes and fifteen seconds.

She was followed by Michelle Vella Woods on 3,18.50 and Rita Galea on 3,19.11

Hungarian Jozsa Gabor won the half marathon on 1,07.31 followed by Jerry Pennigton (UK) on 1,10.44 and Clive Gerada 1,12.54.

Angele Sammut came first among the women on 1,24.27 with Romina Bezzina 1,24.43 and Doreen Camilleri 1,26 26.
