Australia flyhalf Matt Giteau has told English rugby officials there was no need to apologise for the behaviour of their fans at last weekend's Cook Cup test at Twickenham.

England RFU boss Brian Williams apologised to the Australian High Commission in London after English fans booed Giteau when he was taking his shots at goal.

But Giteau, who landed seven of his eight attempts in Australia's 28-14 win, said he had experienced much worse at other grounds around the world and there was no need to apologise.
