Nine players were suspended by the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner this morning following the midweek Premier League matches.

Ħamrun Spartans Adrian Borg was given a two-match ban following his red card for a reckless challenge on Qormi striker Alfred Effiong during Tuesday's Relegation Pool match. Ħamrun lost 2-0.

The other eight players were all given a one-match suspension. Hibs will be without Jackson Lima and Marcelo Dias for their match against Mosta tomorrow after the Brazilian duo collected their fourth yellow card in the Paolites' 2-0 loss to Sliema Wanderers.

Mosta, who lost 7-1 to Birkirkara on Wednesday, had Kurt Magro and Ryan Grech receiving a one-match ban for four yellow cards.

Sliema's Luca Martinelli, sent off in the dying stages of the Hibs game, will miss Sunday's clash with Tarxien Rainbows.

Balzan forward Christian Caruana and Qormi midfielder Edison Zarate are ruled out of their team's direct meeting on Monday while Floriana, who take on Ħamrun tomorrow, will be without winger Steve Pisani.
