A new policy for Valletta parking will be announced in the coming weeks, Transport Minister Joe Mizzi said in Parliament this evening.
He also insisted that the changes made to the CVA system were working and improving access to the capital, with more cars going there, but parking for a shorter time.
Replying to questions by Nationalist MP Toni Bezzina, the minister said the changes made in December, which removed payment for entry into Valletta every working day after 2pm and on Saturdays, had been successful.
Between December and February the number of cars in the city had increased while the time they spent parked had decreased compared to the same period last year.
