A new scheme 'Certify' has been launched by Malta Enterprise to assist businesses improve their standards and become more competitive, including on the international markets.

€1 million have been allocated for the scheme, through which up to €25,000 in tax credits will be awarded to businesses that obtain accredited certification that assists them to improve processes, products or services or aid them to achieve growth in international markets.

Tax credits will be awarded in relation to consultancy and certification costs to businesses that obtain accredited certifications, quality marks or licences.

The scheme will remain open till December 31, 2017.
