Education Minister Louis Galea has inaugurated a new building housing the Mcast Institute for Community Services at Corradino.

Just over 600 students follow courses at the institute.

The new Lm858,600 (€2 million) complex was built with assistance from the European Regional Fund for Development.

To date the institute had been based in two buildings, as Msida and Sliema. The new complex features 14 classes, four hairdressing salons, two beauty salons, a health care lab, a crafts workshop, a computer lab, science labs, music and drama rooms, stores, a multipurpose room and offices.
