Animal Pro-Health (A.P.H) Ltd is taking over the running of San Frangisk animal care centre in Ta' Qali, the Secretariat for Animal Welfare said today. Services have been temporarily suspended until the new administration is in place and investment is made in the infrastructure of the centre.

The new operator was selected after a public call.

The secretariat said it wanted to see the centre more accessible to everyone, especially NGOs and volunteers who work in animal care.

A list of 19 vet clinics available round the clock is available at animalwelfare.msdec@gov.mt

The Animal Welfare Directorate is continuing to work as usual and may be contacted on freephone 1717
