Meet the olinguito (olin-ghee-toe)... an adorable face with big eyes and soft brown fur. It's the newest mammal species to be discovered by scientists at the Smithsonian.

Scientist Kris Helgen discovered the rare mammal after tracking it for a decade.

"This is the smallest member of the raccoon family, completely overlooked by all zoologists until now," he said.
