Passengers using trolleys at Malta International Airport will, as from today, only be refunded €1 of the €2 they will pay, the airport said this morning.

It said in a statement it invested in a modern fleet of 240 luggage trolleys to upgrade its current set of 200.

Users can also pay with €5 or €10 notes and receive change. Those travelling from the UK (MIA's biggest market) would be able to pay in sterling and receive change in euro.
