Atlas Healthcare recently launched a new service on its website, www.atlas.com.mt, which enables clients to pre-authorise insurance cover for its hospital treatment online rather than calling the offices to see what is required.

Before going for treatment, clients should always check with Atlas to make sure that they are covered for the particular treatment in question and to ensure that the hospital is a supporting one. This service helps avoid problems that may occur after treatment when claiming for expenses for private hospital in-patient or day-patient procedures. To facilitate the process, clients can now fill an online form in one straightforward step through a secure, confidential transaction. A confirmation of receipt is automatically sent to the client via e-mail, followed by a password-protected document confirming the client's level of cover and how it applies to the hospital where the client will receive treatment.

Other services offered online include payment of claims excesses and purchasing and quotes for various classes of insurance.
