Enemalta has added a Mercedes fire engine to its firefighting equipment, to act as the first line of defence in emergency situations, the state energy provider said.

The vehicle will be operated by Enemalta's own firefighting and rescue personnel based at Delimara power station. It is equipped with a high/low pressure pump, a 1,800 litre water tank, ladders, a generator set, telescopic mast floodlights, lifting bags, hydraulic cutters, spreaders, winches and a wide range of hand tools.
