Kindergarten children from St Edward’s College this got to experience first hand a day in the life of a public protection agent.

As part of their curriculum, the students learn about ‘People Who Help Us’, which would include fire fighters, policemen, doctors and nurses, soldiers and many more. This week they got the chance to meet soldiers, policemen and civil protection officers along with their vehicles and equipment.

The children experienced being in a police car and sounding the siren and holding a fire hose, among other things.

The school said that the same students were last week also visited by a dentist who visited the classes with her friend Max the dinosaur and his big toothbrush.

The children were encouraged to eat healthy and that sweets should only be eaten twice a week – apart from the occasional party.
