Michael Attard Ltd yesterday unveiled Peugeot's 1007, embodying innovation designed to make life so much easier.

The 1007 writes a new chapter on the design and safety standards of small family cars in the B segment.

In these days of traffic-choked streets, Peugeot has created a compact sized car (a mere 3.73m in length), designed to deal for threading in and out of busy traffic or parking.

On the other hand, a single compartment silhouette with a height of 1.62m provides an architecture that favours interior space and user-friendliness, allowing a high and dominating driving position that ensures excellent visibility and safety. The "open-sesame" remote-controlled electric sliding doors are standard fitment on all 1007 models. Their mechanical action ensures that they stay close to the body, only exceeding the width of the door mirrors by less than one centimetre, thereby allowing parking in very narrow places while providing ample room to get into and out of the vehicle.

The 1007 is a practical car with all of its space exploited for storage including drawers under the front seats.

The car offers a high level of active safety enhanced by an electronic stability programme, including ABS and electronic brake force distribution, among others.

All 1007s come with emergency brake assist and automatic activation of hazard warning lights in the event of sharp deceleration.
