Chris Sladden, a former Malta international player, will be coaching Marsascala SC next season. The club said in a statement this week that Sladden has been appointed senior team coach.

Other coaching appointments by the southern club, winners of the 2007 Division Two championship, include Joe Sciortino, who will be in charge of the club's nursery, and Marthese Fava who will supervise proceedings at the junior level.

Last season, Marsascala were coached by Mario Zammit.

As from next month, the club will commence a swimming school under a fully qualified coach for boys and girls from the age of seven to 16. Training will be held at Tal-Qroqq on Tuesdays (7 p.m.) and Saturdays (1 p.m.).

One may obtain more details from the swimming school co-ordinator Mariella Cutajar on 9945-1294 (marcut@maltanet.net) or club secretary Aaron Busuttil on 7963-4475 (aaron.busuttil@educ.gov.mt).
