A boy looks into an aviary housing a range of parrots and parakeets at San Anton Palace, Attard. The aviary was inaugurated by President George Abela yesterday morning to mark his first year in office. A room has also been earmarked to breed the birds, equipped with cameras to allow children to watch them nesting without disturbing them. The private gardens are expected to be made accessible to the public, when they will be turned into a recreational area with a variety of animals.
