Dr Simone Borg has been appointed Ambassador for Climate Change, the government said today.

Dr Borg is the Head of Department of the Environmental law and Resources law within the Faculty of Laws at the University of Malta, where she is a resident full time academic. She has  vast experience in climate change matters which includes her role as legal adviser to the Malta Policy Group of Experts on Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change. She is also Malta’s representative to the EU Group of Experts on Adaptation to Climate Change, the government added in a statement.

Dr Borg succeeds Michael Zammit Cutajar who asked to be replaced because of personal reasons

The government expressed its gratitude for the commitment and dedication shown by Dr Zammit Cutajar.
