The second swimming time trial of the season, held at the National Pool over the weekend, produced three more age-group records, all from Neptunes swimmers.

Nikki Muscat broke her previous Group D best of 33.02 seconds when clocking 32.08 in the 50 metres backstroke, while her brother Neil covered the 50 metres backstroke (Group A) in 35.89, an improvement of 0.85 seconds on his own previous best.

The other record came from Philip Baldacchino whose time of 40.55 seconds in the 50 metres breaststroke, again in Group A, lowered his old mark by 0.54 seconds.

The meeting, sponsored by Powerbar, was the last one before the Tal-Qroqq Pool closes down for refurbishment work.
