Neptunes Grimaldi striker Steve Camilleri has captured his second consecutive BOV player of the month award this season, proof of his consistent fine form and ability to produce outstanding performances in high-pressure matches.

Camilleri’s firepower in front of goal, as well as his vision of the game, were essential ingredients in Neptunes’ 11-9 victory over league leaders San Ġiljan Crystal Finance Investments as were his four goals from his tally of 13 in four games during July.

The win over the Saints last month kept Neptunes in contention for a sixth consecutive BOV Premier League title.

The first division BOV player of the month accolade for July has been won by Keith Schembri, the Marsascala Nutrition Empire goalkeeper.

Schembri was instrumental in his team’s unbeaten run last month as Marsascala climbed to the top of the league standings.

Paul Gauci, executive head of training and education at Bank of Valletta, handed out the awards to the winners at the National Pool in the presence of ASA of Malta president Joe Caruana Curran.
