Negotiations between the Malta Union of Bank Employees and the management of HSBC continued today following the intervention of the Office of the Prime Minister, the union said in a statement this evening.
The intervention led to the suspension of strike action which had been scheduled to continue today.
The union said this evening it was seeking more detail, statistics and factual data to back up the working of proposals being made prior to their consideration.
The union said the OPM was closely monitoring developments and said that direct mediation would be available if progress was not made.
Another meeting is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
