Recently, I braved the cold snap the islands have been experiencing and went trekking to explore the whole of the beautiful Majjistral Nature Park. It runs the whole length from Golden Bay all the way to Anchor Bay, the Popeye Village site.

I could not believe why in a nature park belonging to the public to enjoy one has to come across a semi construction and, worse still, right in the heart of the park later on to get accosted by a gentleman telling me not to enter as I am in private property, pointing towards a makeshift wire barrier with “Keep off/Privet” written on a piece of wood.

Unfortunately for the gentleman I know how to deal with such threats and I told him where to go. Still, what I would like to know is what exactly is going on because, before I wrote this, I made sure all this happened in the confines of the park.

To cap an unforgettable country sojourn, towards the end, a couple of Scramblers sped by, leaving a small cloud of blue smoke.
