The Nationalist Party has proposed more amendments to the legal notice on students’ sensitive information.

Addressing a news conference, spokesman Joe Cassar expressed satisfaction at the amended notice, which he said now included nearly all proposals made by the Nationalist Party earlier this year.

However, he said, there were still certain issues of serious concern so the PN felt the need to sent the Data Protection Commissioner another letter referring to these matters.

Paula Mifsud Bonnici noted that the government continued to implement the notice in spite of the fact that consultation on it was underway.

Cluadette Buttigieg said that this saga, which had now been going on for a number of months, led to the PN being proved right on what it had been insisting upon since the beginning.
