The Foundation for Human Resources Development recently held its annual conference at the Intercontinental Hotel which was attended by over 250 general managers and human resources managers from over 113 organisations and businesses

The conference was addressed by, among others, John C. Grech, chairman of EMCS Group, Joshua Zammit, deputy vice –president of Actavis Group, Annika Galea, HR director of Hilton Malta, Bruno Cassar, senior vice president of FimBank plc and David Spiteri Gingell, managing partner of LoQus Business Consulting Ltd.

The conference also included an HR and Training Fair where over 17 exhibitors presented their services and products.

Daniela Gouder from the Foundation for Human Resources Development said the conference has become a focal point for general managers and mangers in Malta to meet, share experiences and discuss the issues presenting the greatest challenges. She said the financial crisis and the economic recession together with the challenges of globalisation compelled most companies to revisit their strategies and position in the market.

With this reality in mind, FHRD chose “Change” as the major theme of this conference together with other associated topics that managers face in their daily operations.
